    The Brooklyn College Department of Television and Radio offers the Bachelor of Science degree in broadcast journalism. It is the only such program in the City University of New York.

    Armed with a strong technical skillset and a critical mind, broadcast journalism majors are well prepared to enter professional news operations. Graduates of the program work at a diverse range of media outlets such as CNN, HBO, Democracy Now!, CBS Newsradio 88 (NYC), WKYW-TV (Philadelphia), and Telemundo (Chicago).

    An additional 9 credits of advanced coursework are required in any department or area other than Television and Radio. The Director of Broadcast Journalism must approve your choices. A list of recommended electives is available.

    All students must complete all required courses in their major with grades of C- or better.
