Directions to Brooklyn College
To prepare the general student body to be knowledgeable and socially responsible consumers of mass media who appreciate the media's role as powerful cultural, social, political, and economic institutions that significantly impact social relations -- including the formation of attitudes, values, and beliefs -- at local, regional, national, and global levels. The mass media are viewed as a broadly-defined sphere of communication distributed by electronic and other means to large, heterogeneous, geographically-dispersed audiences, and include ancillary institutions such as advertising, marketing, public relations, production, research and education.
BY SUBWAY:
D train to Avenue H station (Avenue H and E. 16th Street), or Avenue J station to connect to 6 or 11 bus.
2 train or 5 train to Flatbush Avenue station (Flatbush and Nostrand Avenues).
BY BUS:
B6 or B11 to Bedford Avenue and Campus Road.
B8 (18th Ave. bus) to Foster and Flatbush Avenues.
B41 (Flatbush Ave. bus) to Nostrand Avenue.
B44 (Nostrand Ave. bus) to Flatbush Avenue.
B49 (Ocean Ave. bus) to Avenue H.
BY LONG ISLAND RAILROAD:
LIRR to Atlantic Avenue station. Transfer to D, 2 or 5 trains or B41 bus.
BY CAR:
Brooklyn Bridge or Brooklyn-Battery Tunnel to Brooklyn-Queens Expressway; take Prospect Expressway exit, continue as Prospect becomes Ocean Parkway. Ocean Parkway to Foster Avenue, make left onto Foster. Continue to Flatbush Avenue, make right onto Flatbush. Flatbush to Avenue H (municipal parking lot).
Verrazano Bridge; Belt Parkway east to Flatbush Avenue north exit; north on Flatbush to Avenue H municipal parking lot.
Interboro Parkway to last exit; Pennsylvania Avenue to Linden Boulevard; right on Linden to Kings Highway; left on Kings Highway to Avenue H; right on Avenue H to Campus Road.
Sunrise Highway or Southern State Parkway to Belt Parkway; exit at Flatbush Avenue north; north on Flatbush to Avenue H municipal parking lot.
Municipal parking - Flatbush/Nostrand Avenues at Avenue H. Metered Parking - Bedford Avenue, Campus Road, Nostrand Avenue, Flatbush Avenue.
